Our initiatives are designed to address critical aspects of female health by building knowledge, spreading awareness, and fostering community support. 

Cervical Cancer Prevention - HPV Vaccination

Promotes HPV vaccination and cancer screenings to reduce cervical cancer cases.


WHY ? Cervical cancer is the 10th most common cancer among women in Singapore. It is primarily caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). While proven-effective HPV vaccines exist, adoption rates remain low, and opportunities for improving cancer screening actions are significant..

•Social Media Campaigns: Spread awareness about HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention.

•Educational Programs: Conduct live school sessions to educate students, teachers, and parents about the importance of HPV vaccination and screenings.

•Policy Advocacy: Collaborate with the government to expand school-based HPV vaccination programs to international schools.

•Partners: Singapore Cancer Society

EmpowerED
Supports adolescents with mental health challenges, especially eating disorders.


WHY ? Mental health issues like eating disorders are on the rise among teens, requiring urgent attention and tailored support. Studies show that 7.4% of females aged 12 to 26 are at risk of developing an eating disorder. Additionally, 1 in 3 youths in Singapore report symptoms of sadness, anxiety, and loneliness, highlighting the need for immediate intervention 


•Awareness Campaigns: Run online and offline campaigns to educate teens and families about mental health and eating disorders.

•School Webinars & Workshops: Provide education programs that empower students, teachers, and families to address symptoms early.

•Therapy & Support Circles: Host workshops with Minhwa art therapy and create small support groups for teens with similar struggles.

•Fundraising Events: Raise funds through creative initiatives like selling handmade items to support ongoing mental health programs.

OMA
Provides emotional and logistical support for female cancer patients and caregivers


WHY? Female cancer patients and caregivers often face significant emotional and financial challenges, with many struggling to access preventive care. Art and craft workshops provide stress relief and emotional support, improving well-being for both groups. We also raise funds to help women take proactive steps in cancer prevention and ease their financial burdens.

Art Therapy Workshops: Organize art therapy sessions to support mental well-being of patients and caregivers.

Fundraising Events: Raise funds for patients and caregivers through sales of personalized products and donated items.

Awareness Campaigns: Build awareness about the importance of early screening for female cancers like ovarian and breast cancer.

AllaboutScoliosis (LINK)
Promoting early detection and providing support for students living with scoliosis

WHY? Scoliosis has a higher prevalence among girls than boys(2 times vs boys). Early detection and intervention of scoliosis is essential to prevent physical and mental challenges.

Activities:

Education Programs: Conduct school-based sessions to educate students and parents about scoliosis, its impact, and the importance of timely detection.   Provie self detection and exercise information in the website "AllaboutScholiosis.org'

 Support Groups (Circle): Create safe spaces for girls with scoliosis to share their experiences and gain emotional support.

Support  Session (Ballet Stretching):  Exercise stretchig and ballet to strengthen muscles together

Partners: Collaborate with local / international schools to ensure widespread access to education and screening programs.
